The last club night for the term was an enjoyable night for all who attended. After completing the freestyle and backstroke races we moved into some fun relays. Noodles, kickboards and water-polo balls were used as batons for some handicapped races, with every swimmer having a chance to be in a relay with their friends. About 10 parents and the coach were also involved in some relays and races at the end of the evening, with all involved having a great time. How fast is the chief timekeeper!!
Megan Stewart is the winner of Wobbegong of the week for week 9. Megan made a superb graduation to two laps freestyle, just missing out in the touch on qualifying for 5 laps! Well done Megan!
On the night we had a very worthy winner of the draw of the 100 board in Dom Van Brunschot. Dom has done a spectacular job in the tuck shop this season. I know a few families have changed their dinner plans for a Friday evening, to ensure they come to swim club hungry for Dom’s latest feast!
Thank you also to all the parent volunteers who have continued to provide their time every week. I know I keep repeating myself, but a school swim club is only as good as the time parents are prepared to put in. We seem to have regular helpers each week and this has not gone unnoticed. Thank you to all.
Also thanks to some specific parents for assisting in what I consider to be a very successful term of Wobbegongs swimming. Julianne, Linda, Clare, Becky, Mick and Roger thanks.
First club night back in term 1 is Friday January 29th 2016. We also have the carnival at Stafford Stingers on Saturday Feruary 6th, so wack that date in the new calendar for next year.
Have a great break, see you all next year.
